Tuesday, January 20th… the one-year anniversary of this second Trump administration, and wow, what he has accomplished is remarkable! You would expect that of me. I have been a Trump supporter for a long, long time, and a lot of my personal frustration comes from those of you who disagree with me. Not because you disagree with me, but because you seem to refuse to see and accept the truth.
I’m going to make a bold statement: EVERYTHING President Trump does, he does with the American people and the United States of America in mind. Obviously, you need to look no further than his patented acronym, MAGA… Make America Great Again. I never have understood how any American citizen could disagree with that and why the very presence and mention of MAGA causes people to become unhinged. Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is so common that the term has entered into our daily lexicon. I am pleased that those of us who support this President continue to stand strong in our support and are not being deterred. Alternatively, however, is that Democrats, and those on the Left, seemingly are becoming more and more combative; not just disagreeing or peacefully protesting, as is their right, but combative with words and violent with actions. As I have said many times before, this must stop, and Democrats could make it stop if they wanted to. Instead, they not only refuse to speak out against it, they are fomenting it. Insanity. Hypocrisy.
Now as to that ‘everything Trump does he does with the American people and the United States of America in mind’. This first year has brought us so many good things that I can’t address them in a single blog post. (I won’t try to catch up on a several-month absence from this blog in a single post!)
Let’s start with securing the border and illegal immigration.
Democrat hypocrisy at its finest. All you have to do is go back and look at video comments by Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Chuck Schumer. ALL of these Democrat leaders used to speak out against illegal immigration and the need to deport those who entered our country illegally! It’s okay when they say it; it’s horrible when Trump says it. Trump secured our borders to keep us safe. Fentanyl, gang violence against our citizens, and massive fraud brought against us taxpayers.
The truth is coming out about January 6th and how it appears that it was a Democrat plan to protect a stolen election. Acknowledge the truth. How does this protect us? Trump is doing everything he can to make our elections secure. Voter I.D. is a must if we are going to be able to vote and know that our vote is counted and actually will make a difference. I mentioned in a previous blog post that the ballot box is the last bastion for us to make our voices heard. Voting is a privilege and is the only way I can make a difference. Do you oppose voter I.D.? Why?
Related to the border is Trump’s use of ICE to enforce federal law and deport the worst of the worst. And what is happening now, in many places, but currently in Minnesota? Vehement opposition with Democrat leaders actually encouraging violence and law-breaking and it’s having disastrous consequences, even getting people killed. I am incensed at local political leaders justifying the storming of a church in Minnesota during services and comparing what they did in a church to what they claim ICE is doing in schools. That’s just a huge stretch and not at all an appropriate analogy. They were breaking the law!
Christians are being persecuted, and the Muslim faith is growing in this country with the intent of taking control with Sharia Law. Trump has arguably done the most to protect religious freedom. Depravity is rampant with the Democrat emphasis on transgenderism and biological males playing in women’s sports. It is insane that the Left cannot, or will not, acknowledge basic biological science and admit there are only two genders. This is not only a political argument but also a moral and spiritual one. Democrats cannot say what a woman is, and when asked if a man can get pregnant, they avoid answering the question and deflect. Trump is protecting women and girls, and I can get behind that.
Let me bring up Greenland. This is not some simple power play or a stroking of his ego by Trump. It is to protect the United States and to help keep us as the most powerful and respected nation in the world… and I don’t think that’s a bad thing at all. There have been several past Presidents over decades that have discussed Greenland and considered its acquisition. Trump is the first one, it appears, will actually make it happen.
Venezuela? Trump has the gumption to do what other presidents were afraid to do, or who just wouldn’t do, and that is to enforce a warrant for Maduro, the illegitimate president. How does that protect us? By stopping the flow of drugs that have killed thousands of our citizens from coming into this country. Not only that, Trump’s intervention in Venezuela has prevented the sale of embargoed oil and is preventing our adversaries China and Russia from gaining a stronghold in our hemisphere.
Inflation is under control, and investments in the U.S. from negotiations and tariffs are unmatched in history. Drug prices are dropping, many food items cost less, and gas prices are lower than they have been in years.
